Hope Is the Word, I just discovered a fun meme:
What's on Your Nightstand hosted by
5 Minutes for Books. Every fourth Tuesday of the month, bloggers share what they are currently reading and/or what they are looking forward to. Click
here to read more about this meme, and click
here to participate today.
This month, I'm just going to post photos of my nightstand and the kids' reading sidetable. I thought it would be a fun exercise to see what these look like each month. Some are books we read in January, some we're reading now, and some we are looking forward to. Can't guarantee we'll get to them all this coming month, but we're optimists! I also keep a list in my sidebar of past, current, and future reads, as well as yearly book lists. (Still working on 2011, and hoping to post that soon.)

YAY welcome!!
Optimism is necessary when it comes to dealing with big stacks of books.
Love your stack! My daughter is home with a virus (the reason I didn't do a post this month), and we've watched Enchanted three times in the last 24 hours. Love it. :) I still need to read the Hunger Games. I may be the only person left who hasn't!
My stacks keep getting bigger too, but I can't seem to stop adding to them!
I haven't read The Hunger Games either, but I suppose I will give in at some point and pick it up. :)
I'm an eternal optimist! I am forever checking out stacks of 8 or 10 novels from the library, convinced - convinced! - that I will have them all read over the weekend.
Nice stacks. I'm trying to polish mine off by taking on a TBR reading challenge. Or at least making a dent in it!
Love the pictures. Oooohhh, Hunger Games. I see it! I love the kids books as much as the adults! Nice meeting you!
I enjoyed looking at your pics! I only wish we could be as organized and keep our books in one place (or even 3)! It would save me money in library fines! :-)
To answer your question, yes, I have read and enjoyed The Blue Castle. Here's a link to my review:

I love seeing your stacks of books - I thoroughly enjoyed State of Wonder! And the origami yoda is awesome!
I see a lot of familiar titles on all of your stacks! My son is reading Darth Paper right now and I want to read both books myself soon.
Neat stack. I need to get Hunger Games. Like the yoda too.

We love Half Magic in our house!
Yes, I enjoyed 84, Charing Cross Road and her other books.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Fun books! I feel like I need to read "The Hunger Games" since everyone is reading it and the movie is coming out.
There is something comforting about a stack of books on a nightstand.
Welcome to the Nightstand posts! It's a fun linkup and I love visiting around to see what others are reading. I love your stacks!
Happy February reading!
I love seeing stacks of books! Welcome to the party. :)
